FAQ…

Live Scan

Most common questions we get.

What should I bring for Live Scan?

Bring a valid photo ID. If your agency provided a BCIA 8016 (“Request for Live Scan”) form, bring that too.

How long does a Live Scan appointment take?

Most visits take about 10–15 minutes, depending on your form and fingerprint capture.

Do you send my results to me?

No. Results go to the requesting agency. We submit the prints electronically to DOJ/FBI when required.

Why does my Live Scan price change?

Some applications include government/agency fees set by DOJ/FBI/requesting agencies. Your BCIA 8016 determines what fees apply.

Ink Fingerprinting

For FD-258 and other cards.

Do I need to bring my own fingerprint card?

If you have one, bring it. If not, we can provide FD-258 cards for many requests.

How many cards can I do in one appointment?

You can do multiple cards. Book one appointment and leave a note with how many cards you need.

Can you help fill out the card?

Yes — we’ll help you avoid common mistakes so your card doesn’t get rejected.

Notary Public

Quick notarizations.

Can I sign my document before I arrive?

No. Please wait to sign in front of the notary, unless your document instructions specifically say otherwise.

Do you provide witnesses?

No. If your document requires witnesses, please bring them with you.

How much does notarization cost?

$15 per signature (California regulated). Some documents may require multiple notarized signatures.

Tip: If you’re not sure which service to book, choose the closest option and leave a note—we’ll confirm it with you.
